New York University, Tisch School of Arts, Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film & Television’s 7th Annual Fusion Film Festival, A Celebration of Women Filmmakers presented the hip-hop documentary SAY MY NAME directed by Nirit Peled on October 30th.
In a hip hop and R’n’B world dominated by men and noted for misogyny, the unstoppable female lyricists of SAY MY NAME speak candidly about class, race, and gender in pursuing their passions as female emcees.
It was an amazing film, tasteful, refreshing and empowering!
